LORD KITCHENER'S BROOME PARK SOLD FOR £6M

The iconic mansion has been bought by real estate developer Bonds Group, who seek to return the 250-acre estate to a hotel resort destination.

The historic property, which was once owned by the ‘Your Country Needs You’ poster military figure Earl Kitchener, is currently divided into 14 holiday lodges and 18 holiday apartments, and its grounds boast an 18-hole champion golf course.

Chairman and Chief Executive of Bonds Group, Anson Chan, said: “We are very pleased with the acquisition of Broome Park, its long history and connection to Lord Kitchener are particularly appealing to us. It is my intention to restore it to its former glory over the next few years.”

Bonds Group have announced they seek to appoint Countrywide Properties to manage the hotel resort, which also boasts two all-weather tennis courts, an indoor pool and a gym, as well as a restaurant and bar area and a hall.

Former owners of the Broome Park Mansion House - Diamond Resorts Group - were advised on the sale of the property by Pannone Corporate.

Partner at Pannone Corporate, Mark Winthorpe, said: “We were delighted to advise on the sale of the estate which has such historical significance and wish the new owners every success with their plans to redevelop the estate to a hotel resort.”
