Farm491 will help spark ideas at Farm Business Innovation 2016

Farm491 is delighted to be joining other agricultural businesses at the Farm Business Innovation Show this November and will be advising, networking and supporting farmers who may be looking for ways to maximise their land use through diversification and the application of technology.

Farm Business Innovation started in 2013 at Olympia, London. In its second year (2014) the show had grown by 170% and for 2015 the show had grown so much they had to relocate to the NEC, Birmingham. After a very successful event in November 2015 the show is once again returning to the NEC on the 9th & 10th November 2016.

With over 300 suppliers, a lineup of top speakers and over 150 seminar sessions, the event is set to in-spire, engage and motivate. Speakers will be addressing diverse topics and ideas for land use from how to turn farms into festival destinations to tourism, farm shops and wedding venues - right through to envi-ronmental sustainability and the importance of technology.

Angela Simkins, Centre Director of Farm491 will be on stage at 3.30pm on Wednesday 9th November in Theatre 5, where she will be explaining what agritech is and its importance in feeding a growing global population. She will introduce the audience to the Farm491 concept at the Royal Agricultural University and show how it is already supporting agritech business start-ups to research, test and further their ideas – as well as offering practical office space to base their business.

Angela Simkins, Farm491 Centre Director, said: “The Farm Business Innovation Show is designed to pro-vide farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs and landowners with inspiration, advice and resources should they wish to innovate, diversify and make more money from land. Farm491 is a high-tech, modern, cut-ting-edge enterprise hub at the Royal Agricultural University. It has been developed as a co-working envi-ronment for innovators to grow their businesses by applying technology to agriculture. We’re really look-ing forward to speaking to farmers, landowners and entrepreneurs who may be looking for our support in helping their business idea grow.”

The two-day event is packed with unmissable seminars as well as market-leading exhibitors to help visitors find the right products, services and opportunities for their rural business. Farm Business Innovation is the must-attend show to spark ideas and enthusiasm.
